Attorney Zac Greene Appointed to Federal Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel for Chattanooga Division

Miller & Martin litigation attorney Zac Greene was recently appointed by Chief Judge Travis McDonough and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee to chair the Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel.  Under his leadership, the Panel, comprised of lawyers and non-lawyer community members, reviewed and evaluated more than three dozen applications to fill the vacancy that will be created by the retirement of United States Magistrate Judge Susan K. Lee.  The Panel recently forwarded a slate of five recommended candidates to the Court for its consideration.  Other Panel members are Ariel Anthony, Elizabeth Irvin, Chris Poole, Clinton Sanko, Janie Varnell, Christopher Meadows, Travis Lytle, and Aon Miller.

Zac is an active federal court practitioner.  His civil practice is focused on business litigation, and he regularly represents entities and individuals in matters involving breach of contract, negligence, fraud, and unfair competition and trade secrets.  Zac also has an extensive white-collar criminal defense practice and represents clients in government investigations and prosecutions in the areas of mail and wire fraud, healthcare fraud, immigration, public corruption, and antitrust.  He also represents clients in qui tam proceedings under the False Claims Act, constitutional claims, and federal regulatory proceedings.
