Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta Honors Alison Boyer as Volunteer of the Year

March 12, 2020

Miller & Martin attorney Alison Boyer was one of several honored as Volunteer of the Year at the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta volunteer appreciation reception on March 11, 2020. Ms. Boyer assisted Project Community Connections, Inc. (PCCI), an organization with a mission to provide affordable housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, with a new project located in Atlanta’s historic Old Fourth Ward community. In partnership with Mercy Housing Southeast, PCCI is developing Thrive Sweet Auburn, a mixed-use development that will offer a combination of permanent supportive housing and affordable units, on-site support services for residents and community members, and office, commercial, training and amenity space.  Ms. Boyer assisted PCCI with the land acquisition, negotiation of a billboard ground lease, project financing, JV arrangement, and support of the tax credit application. "Alison is a gifted lawyer and 'giver,'" Shelby Grubbs, Managing Member of the Atlanta office said, "we are proud of her and the splendid work she does on a pro-bono basis." Approximately 100 guests were in attendance at the reception, which consisted of lawyers from top firms in Atlanta and many in-house counsel. Congratulations to Ms. Boyer!
