London Stock Exchange's Alternative Investment Market (AIM) Is Drawing Serious Attention from International Companies Seeking Public Capital

June 26, 2014

Miller & Martin welcomed our World Law Group Affiliate, Wragge, Lawrence, Graham & Co. (WLG), to our Atlanta office to present information on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM), a sub-market of the London Stock Exchange, which supports small to mid-sized companies' access to public capital. Though AIM formed in 1995, it was relatively unknown until the past couple of years. Due to its relatively simple listing process, international investor base, geographical reach, expert advisor network, visibility and flexibility, as well as proven success of many companies listed, companies across the world have begun taking note. Since its inception, over 3,000 companies have listed on AIM, and over 400 companies with the majority of their operations outside the UK have raised capital on AIM, reflecting its appeal.

Wragge, Lawrence Graham & Co., based in London, has advised numerous clients about whether their company may be a fit for AIM, and is the No. 1 legal adviser to AIM clients by market capitalization and No. 4 by the total number of clients.  During their presentation, Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co. partners Kris Rogers and Jonathan Chamberlain shared an overview of AIM, eligibility and continuing obligations, recent trends, and issue's they have seen for US companies coming to market.

If you are interested in learning whether AIM may be a fit for your company, contact Kent Antley or Joe DeLisle to learn more.
