Attorney Jessica Malloy-Thorpe Selected Among Leadership Chattanooga Class of 2023-2024

The Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce has announced Miller & Martin Attorney Jessica Malloy-Thorpe among the Class of 2023-2024 for Leadership Chattanooga. Established in 1984, Leadership Chattanooga is the premier leadership-development and civic-engagement program for greater Chattanooga professionals – promoting excellence through experiential learning opportunities, community service projects, and exclusive access to local and state leaders.
Beginning in August and adjourning with a graduation event in May, Leadership Chattanooga participants meet once a month for daylong sessions – advancing their leadership development, gaining insights into community challenges and brainstorming ways to contribute to the region’s growth and success.
Jessica Malloy-Thorpe focuses her law practice in the area of business litigation, with an emphasis on labor and employment litigation and arbitration. In her representation of employers, Jessica is experienced in briefing dispositive motions, mediating various employment disputes, enforcing arbitration agreements, responding to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and various state agencies on charges of discrimination, and responding to Department of Labor investigations. Jessica enjoys representing employers from the very beginning of a case through the conclusion of trial or the arbitration merits hearing, as well as at the appellate level. Jessica also regularly advises employers under various employment laws, including Title VII, the ADA, FMLA, FLSA, USERRA and the WARN Act, among others. Prior to joining Miller & Martin, Jessica clerked for the Honorable Susan K. Lee in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and the Honorable Susan L. Collins in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.
