Miller & Martin Participates in Georgia's Legal Food Frenzy

The Office of the Attorney General, the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia and the Georgia Food Bank Association have joined forces to create a friendly competition among Georgia law firms, law schools and legal organizations to support the eight regional food banks in Georgia. Miller & Martin is competing with other law firms in the state to reach a goal of raising the equivalent of 1,200,000 pounds of food.

The face of hunger is changing in Georgia – 18.9% of Georgians don’t always know where they will find their next meal, 28.1% of the children in Georgia have been hungry and without access to food in one of the wealthiest nations in the world, 60% of Georgia’s children are eligible for free/reduced rate lunches – 15% of those children don’t have access to a lunch program when school is out. Food Banks experienced an increased demand for food over the summer months. The Legal Food Frenzy will provide much needed food items & funds as they prepare for the increased demand for food over the summer months.
