Miller & Martin's Women's Network Partners with The Launch Pad Supporting Women in Recovery

January 16, 2024

Miller & Martin's Women's Network is pleased to announce its new community partnership with The Launch Pad, a Chattanooga non-profit organization offering support to local women in recovery. The Launch Pad provides residential, 12-step based sober living to women recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. The organization currently serves as a safe haven for 49 residents in five group homes. During their stay, The Launch Pad residents attend regular AA/NA meetings, participate in weekly group therapy, and obtain gainful employment.

Over the recent holiday season, Miller & Martin's Women's Network donated personal notebooks and pens for journaling therapy, as well as personal care and cold weather essentials for The Launch Pad residents.

According to The Launch Pad executive director Shelley Armstrong: "Our residents were thrilled with their gifts from Miller and Martin! The hat, glove and scarf sets, as well as socks and lip gloss, were a huge hit and they loved picking out the colors! But the biggest hit was the journals...they were so intentional on picking out their own personal journals and the really nice pens they would use!"

The female attorneys who comprise Miller & Martin's Women's Network in the firm's Chattanooga office intend to continue their support of The Launch Pad residents throughout 2024 by sponsoring resident fellowship events, conducting resume review or professional mentorship sessions, and/or volunteering their time to improve the residence grounds.

“The members of Miller & Martin’s Women’s Network are honored to partner with The Launch Pad and have been inspired by its commitment to The Launch Pad and its residents in 2024," said Lynzi J. Archibald, the Chattanooga office co-chair of Miller & Martin's Women's Network.
