Miller & Martin Represented First Solar in Mega-Project Development

Miller & Martin’s economic development/renewable energy team headed by Tom Harrold represented First Solar in its negotiations to develop a 200 megawatt utility-scale solar project in Twiggs County, Georgia. First Solar, headquartered in Tempe Arizona, is the largest solar company in the U.S. with a manufacturing facility in Ohio. The 200 megawatt AC solar project will be the largest in the South. The project will utilize First Solar’s large-format Series 6 modules mounted on single-axis trackers. Construction on the mega-project is planned to begin in November 2018 with commissioning scheduled for late 2019.
