Ruiz and Welton to Present Implicit Bias in the Workplace

Attorneys Rachael Ruiz and Megan Welton will present "Implicit Bias in the Workplace" at the April 10, 2018 Chattanooga meeting of Financial Executives International and at the 2018 Vascular Summit in Chattanooga on April 19, 2018.

Implicit bias refers to the attitudes and stereotypes that are outside of one's conscious awareness and control but affect day-to-day social interactions. The presentation will focus on what is implicit bias, how to recognize it, and the importance of reducing it in the workplace as it affects all aspects in the work place, including hiring, recruiting and promotions. Everyone has implicit biases and learning how to recognize and combat them will benefit any company, firm or business in the long run.
