Attorney Jessica Malloy-Thorpe Appointed to Legal Aid of East Tennessee Board of Directors

Miller & Martin attorney Jessica Malloy-Thorpe has been voted in as a member of the Board of Directors for Legal Aid of East Tennessee following an appointment by the Chattanooga Bar Association.  

Ms. Malloy-Thorpe, a litigation associate in the Chattanooga office of Miller & Martin, concentrates her practice in the area of business litigation, with an emphasis on labor and employment litigation matters. Prior to joining Miller & Martin, she clerked for the Honorable Susan K. Lee in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and the Honorable Susan L. Collins in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.  In addition to her LAET board role, Ms. Malloy-Thorpe serves as the president of Southeastern Tennessee Lawyers' Association of Women (SETLAW) and is a member of the Federal Bar Association, the Young Lawyers Division of the Chattanooga Bar Association and the Women in the Profession Committee for the Tennessee Bar Association. 

Legal Aid of East Tennessee provides high-quality civil legal services free of charge for qualifying individuals involved in matters ranging from consumer, housing and family to public benefits and more.  The organization advocates for the elderly, for families, and for victims of domestic violence and works closely with clients to help navigate legal challenges and seek out justice.
