Six Miller & Martin Attorneys Named Members

Miller & Martin PLLC is pleased to announce that Zachary H. Greene, Ashley A. Halfman, R. Tyler Hand, Robert F. Parsley, M. Craig Smith and John David Spiller, Jr. have been elected to Membership in the firm.

Zachary H. Greene is a member of the firm's Litigation Department and represents and counsels individuals and companies in matters, including complex litigation, involving contracts, business torts, statutory claims, intellectual property, and other issues. Mr. Greene also represents clients in white collar criminal matters, including conducting internal investigations.

Ashley A. Halfman advises clients regarding formation, structuring and management of business entities including corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships. She has represented both publicly and privately held companies in merger and acquisition transactions. She has also represented issuers and investors in private placements and registered offerings of debt and equity securities, including venture capital transactions. Ms. Halfman also provides pro bono legal services for several organizations including Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta and the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation.

R. Tyler Hand, a member of the firm’s corporate practice group, advises on business transactions and tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate finance and general business planning. In addition, he represents tax-exempt organizations in connection with federal and state qualification and operational matters.

Robert F. Parsley practices primarily in the area of civil litigation, with concentration in commercial, construction, health care, and insurance litigation and appellate practice. Mr. Parsley is Chair of Miller & Martin's Appellate Practice Group. Mr. Parsley also serves as Director of the Miller & Martin Writing Academy, the firm's in-house professional development program for legal writing.

M. Craig Smith concentrates his practice in the area of Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights and Litigation.

John David Spiller, Jr. joined Miller & Martin in 2012 after practicing in Austin, Texas with the Supreme Court of Texas and with the firm Graves, Dougherty, Hearon & Moody. Among other engagements, he represents private equity, public company and strategic buyers and sellers in business mergers and acquisitions; founders and investors in company formation and financing, including venture capital financings; public companies with respect to securities law compliance; and businesses in the development, marketing, licensing and distribution of products, including intellectual properties. His clients span many industries, and their transactions range in size from small transactions to those in excess of $100 million and often involve national and multi-national operations.
