Ryan Kurtz Knighted for Work Promoting Italian-American Relations

Miller & Martin attorney Ryan Kurtz was knighted Cavaliere dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia (Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy) by Honorable Cristiano Musillo, the Consul General of Italy in Miami, on behalf of Sergio Mattarella, President of Italy, during the 77th National Day Ceremony in Miami, Florida on May 31, 2023. This knighthood is one of Italy’s highest honors for Italians abroad and is bestowed upon individuals who have distinguished themselves in philanthropy, community activism, research, and promoting relations between Italy and other countries.
Mr. Kurtz served as Honorary Consul of Italy in Atlanta from 2016 to 2020. In 2017, he received the Dream Forward Award for International Diplomatic Relations from the King Center in Atlanta. Mr. Kurtz actively promotes Italian-American relations in his law practice in Atlanta and through his leadership in the World Law Group for which he serves as co-chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group. He is also a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Chapter of the Italy America Chamber of Commerce for the Southeast.
