Overview
Clayton A. Smith practices in the area of litigation with an emphasis on bankruptcy litigation and creditor's rights. His experience includes representing clients in complex bankruptcy proceedings and litigation, as well as aiding in settlement negotiations and recovery efforts. He is also experienced in writing petitions and briefs for appellate courts at both the state and federal level.
Mr. Smith was previously a judicial law clerk for the senior floor of bankruptcy judges in the Northern District of Georgia, working under Chief Judge Hagenau, Judge Ellis-Monro, Judge Sacca and Judge Bonapfel. While in law school at Emory University, he worked in a variety of public and private legal capacities, including at the Coca-Cola Company and at the Georgia Court of Appeals under now-Justice Carla Wong McMillian.

- Represented a variety of secured and unsecured creditors to defend their rights in both bankruptcy and state court.
- Represented Chapter 7 Trustee in a variety of complex fraudulent transfer litigation, assisting in the recovery of more than $1 million through settlement negotiations.
