Megan Ehrig is a business litigator and corporate attorney with over a decade of experience assisting clients in finding practical solutions to their legal needs. She serves as a trusted advisor to businesses navigating complex workplace and corporate challenges, bringing expertise to issues that intersect labor & employment, litigation management, and general corporate compliance. As a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment practice and a seasoned general corporate counsel, Megan partners with in-house counsel and management teams to provide practical legal guidance that aligns with business objectives while minimizing risk.

Megan’s labor and employment practice encompasses the full spectrum of workplace issues. She advises employers on compliance with federal and state employment laws, employee relations, workplace policies, wage and hour matters, restrictive covenants, and civil rights issues, including harassment and discrimination claims, retaliation complaints, and leave and accommodation requests. She also represents employers in administrative proceedings, agency investigations, and employment-related disputes, guiding clients through the litigation process and helping clients resolve issues efficiently and effectively.

In addition to her labor and employment work, Megan serves as outside general counsel to companies, strategically advising clients on legal risks impacting their business, negotiating vendor contracts to suit business needs, and assisting transportation clients with regulatory compliance.

Prior to rejoining Miller & Martin, Megan spent more than seven years as in-house counsel for one of the largest trucking companies in the U.S. with employees and contractors nationwide. This prior experience provides her with an understanding of the unique legal and business challenges facing transportation companies and allows her to deliver strategic advice tailored to an industry operating in a highly regulating and fast-moving environment.

Megan graduated cum laude from Sewanee: The University of the South, in 2012 where she obtained a B.A. in English. She was then selected as the recipient of the Herbert Herff Presidential Law Scholarship for academic merit and attended the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. While attending law school, she received the Dean’s Award for Excellence for both the Best Oral Advocate and Best Brief for Legal Methods II and received the CALI Awards (highest grade in the class) in five subjects. Megan graduated magna cum laude, earning her J.D. in 2015.
