Robert lives on Signal Mountain with his wife and child. Outside the office, he enjoys cooking, exercising, and spending time outdoors.
Robert D. Norton is an associate attorney in Miller & Martin’s Chattanooga office, where he focuses his practice on commercial litigation and business disputes, labor & employment, construction, appellate, and general litigation matters. He is admitted to practice in all Tennessee state and federal courts and is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Chattanooga Bar Association. Before joining Miller & Martin, Robert practiced litigation and employment law with other law firms and served as a Judicial Term Clerk for the Honorable Stephanie F. Stacy of the Nebraska Supreme Court, gaining valuable insight into the appellate process.
Robert earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Creighton University School of Law in 2022. While at Creighton, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Creighton Law Review and authored a published article on a Fourth Amendment issue. He was also inducted into the Order of Barristers, participated on the Trial and Arbitration Teams, graduated in the top 10 of his class, and received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Contracts, International Law, and Business of Law. Robert also holds a Master of Science from East Tennessee State University and a Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University.
