Chatter Magazine Features Attorney Rachael Ruiz Among Chattanooga 20 Under 40
Miller & Martin commercial real estate attorney Rachael Ruiz has been featured among the Chattanooga-area young professionals selected for Chatter magazine’s 2026 20 Under 40. Each honoree shares their thoughts on a mix of work and life topics in a Q&A-formatted interview in the article entitled “20 Under 40: Say Hello to the Next Wave of Chattanooga Leadership.”
The 20 Under 40 honorees were selected based on career accomplishments, leadership qualities and community contributions alike. According to Chatter, “While climbing career ladders, they’re also finding ways to look beyond their personal success. Through community involvement and day-to-day leadership, each of them is working to make Chattanooga a better place to live.”
Rachael Ruiz is a Member in Miller & Martin’s commercial department. A Chattanooga native, she has worked with the law firm since she graduated from Tulane Law School in 2016. In 2025, Ms. Ruiz was promoted to partner-level Member status. She focuses her practice in the area of real estate law and also has experience with matters involving environmental law and nonprofit governance. She assists real estate developers, companies and nonprofit groups with various commercial matters, including, leasing transactions, closing financing and managing contracts involving retail, office and industrial properties. Ms. Ruiz chairs the law firm’s Inclusion and Diversity Committee and serves on the Hiring and Recruiting Committees. Her community involvement and leadership roles include work with the Chattanooga Audubon Society and Mizpah Congregation, as well as a member of the Lula Lake Land Trust Board and Building Leaders of Chattanooga (BLOC), a young professionals group associated with the Associated General Contractors of East Tennessee.
