On November 6th, a plethora of nationwide elections for federal and state offices will be fiercely contested. The results of the 2018 midterm elections will shape the American political and cultural landscape for many years to come. Whose legislative agenda will prevail? Will tumult persist, or will stability and productivity be possible? Will congressional investigations ramp up or wind down? Whose nominees will reshape the narrowly divided Supreme Court and American jurisprudence?
On Friday, November 9th the University of Virginia’s Miller Center scholars will interpret the latest midterm election results, framing them within both liberal and conservative perspectives. Their informed thoughts will not only consider current impact but also historical parallels for future insights.
