    Racquel McGee focuses her litigation practice primarily on intellectual property, contractual, and business tort disputes. She looks beyond traditional litigation tactics and offers strategic representation to clients from a wide range of industries on their commercial law matters. She has experience working with domestic and foreign companies in litigation matters related to complex business, entertainment and media, copyright and trademark infringement, patent infringement, trade secrets, general liability, and class action disputes. Racquel’s legal experience with the entertainment and media industries in particular provides her with unique insight into the challenges clients may encounter with emerging technological and social media trends.

    Before entering the legal profession, Racquel worked in the field of forensic psychology, focusing primarily on clinical assessment, therapeutic intervention, court advocacy, and reentry coordination.

    Racquel has served the Gate City Bar Association as an executive board member since 2020. She also donates a significant amount of time to community and social justice efforts through volunteerism and pro bono advocacy. 

  • Experience

    • Secured dismissal for Fortune 500 media streaming company for claims of copyright infringement, trademark infringement, and unfair competition brought in the Northern District of Georgia.
    • Assisted in securing lower court’s Motion for Summary Judgment ruling in 2nd Circuit appellate litigation for high-profile entertainer for right of publicity claim brought by another high-profile entertainer.
    • Secured dismissal for foreign-based pharmaceutical distributor in an international complex commercial dispute for claims of breach of contract and multiple business torts.
    • Secured favorable outcome for national restaurant chain against claim alleging copyright infringement relating to content on social media platforms and company website.
    • Secured favorable outcome for social media marketing firm against claim alleging copyright infringement relating to its’s clients’ content on social media platforms and company websites.
    • Secured favorable outcome for a commercial and residential real estate corporation against a class action alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
