Tennessee Bar Foundation Inducts Attorneys Larry Cash and Jim Haley as Fellows
The Tennessee Bar Foundation recently inducted Miller & Martin attorneys Larry Cash and Jim Haley as part of their Class of 2026 of Fellows, a distinguished membership of attorneys and judges who are recognized for their exceptional contributions to the legal profession and the public good.
The Class of 2026 joins a distinguished group of legal professionals across the state, including Tennessee Supreme Court justices, state and federal judges, and outstanding practitioners in diverse legal fields, all of whom have demonstrated a commitment to improving their communities and upholding the integrity of the legal profession. This prestigious honor is extended to a select few, representing less than 5% of licensed attorneys in Tennessee.
Larry L. Cash, a litigation attorney based in Miller & Martin’s Chattanooga office, has more than 45 years of experience practicing law in Tennessee and Georgia. He focuses his practice primarily in the representation of both public bodies and private businesses in a wide range of legal matters, including the defense of corporate entities in product liability claims, commercial litigation, OSHA compliance and investigations and related matters. Mr. Cash also represents a captive association insurance company which provides all lines of insurance coverage for both municipal and cooperative utility companies in the southeastern United States.
Jim Haley, also based in the firm’s Chattanooga office, previously served as the firm’s Chairman for 8 years and has more than 51 years of experience practicing law in Tennessee. He concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial, industrial and planned-unit real estate, and in banking. He has represented developers, lenders, landlords and tenants in a variety of complex and multi-state transactions and thrives on resolving issues to close a transaction successfully. Since 1995, he has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for practice areas including Banking and Finance Law; Real Estate Law; Securitization and Structured Finance Law.
In a press release, the 2025-2026 Chair of the Foundation Sam D. Elliott stated: “We are incredibly proud to welcome the Class of 2026 into the distinguished ranks of our Fellows. The Tennessee Bar Foundation Fellows represent the very best of the Tennessee legal community and the legal leaders who have helped shape – and continue to shape – the practice of law in our great state.”
About The Tennessee Bar Foundation
The Tennessee Bar Foundation is a statewide, law-related, philanthropic organization with a mission to honor distinguished attorneys by electing them to membership as “Fellows,” supporting vital law-related public interest projects, and administering Tennessee’s IOLTA (Interest On Lawyers’ Trust Accounts) program. Established by the Tennessee Supreme Court in 1984, the IOLTA program has since granted over $35 million through this critical grantmaking program. These vital funds support organizations that provide direct civil legal services to low-income and vulnerable Tennesseans, working to improve the administration of justice and ensure greater access to justice for all.
